Pokémon cards, done right.

Singles, sealed, graded, and supplies. Finishing a set, building a deck, or just digging the old binder out of the closet after twenty years — there’s a spot for you at our table.

Selling to us

Thinking about letting some go?

Binders, shoeboxes, a single slab, or forty thousand commons from 1999 — bring the whole thing. We sort it, price it against current market, and tell you what it’s worth. No pressure either way.

Our rates are published.

You shouldn’t have to guess what a dealer will offer, and you shouldn’t get a different number depending on how you look that day. Here’s what we pay, the same for everyone.

Store credit pays more than cash and spends on anything in the case, at any show. If you were planning to buy cards anyway, it’s worth more to you.

No need to sort or price anything first. Sorting your own bulk won’t raise our offer, so save yourself the evening.

Three steps

How it works.

Tell us what you have

Fill in the form below and we’ll reply the same day. Send photos back with your reply — binder pages and your best twenty cards — and we’ll give you a range before you drive anywhere.

We go through it with you

Good cards get priced individually against live market data. The rest goes at our published bulk rate. You watch us do it — nothing happens out of sight.

Cash, credit, or consignment

One number for cash, a higher one for store credit. If consignment makes more sense for what you’ve got, we’ll say so — even though it pays us less up front.

Consignment, for the bigger ones

If a collection is worth more than we can pay out at once — or you’d simply rather not sell at a wholesale rate — we’ll sell it for you and split the proceeds. You keep ownership the whole time, and everything is written down and signed before we take anything.

Best suited to high-value singles, graded cards, and vintage.

Trades are welcome

Bring cards, leave with cards. We’ll work out a trade against the same published rates, and there’s no minimum — a couple of duplicates is a perfectly good reason to stop by the table.

About us

Who we are.

Pono Poke Center is a retailer of new and pre-owned trading cards and collectibles, specialising in the Pokémon Trading Card Game. We sell singles, sealed product, graded cards, vintage, and hobby supplies — in person at trading card shows and events, through online marketplaces, on live-selling platforms, and direct to collectors.

Alongside retail, we purchase collections from the public for resale and offer consignment for higher-value pieces. Our buy rates are published rather than negotiated case by case, we price against live market data in front of the customer, and every consignment is documented and signed before we take possession of anything.

The business is family-run and operates on a straightforward premise: a card is only worth what someone will pay for it, and everyone involved is better off when that number is arrived at openly. We keep cost basis on every item, honour our published rates whether the collection is worth forty dollars or four thousand, and treat the people across the table as customers we expect to see again rather than transactions to be maximised.

The name

Doing it right is the whole business.

Pono is a Hawaiian word. It means righteousness — doing what is right, in balance, whether or not anyone is watching.

In a hobby where plenty of people get taken advantage of, that’s a deliberate choice about how to run a card business. We publish our rates instead of sizing people up. We price in front of you. We’ll tell you when consignment beats selling, even when selling pays us more.

We intend to still be here in ten years. That only works one way.

Get in touch

Say hello.

Buying, selling, hunting for one particular card, or just curious where we’ll be next — this reaches us either way.

If you’re selling, photos help most. We’ll reply by email — attach them to your reply and that’s plenty to work from.
